Zahiroddoleh Cemetery

Below are images of an alphabetical index of burials in Tehran’s Zahiroddoleh Cemetery, which existed at zahirdowleh.com before the site went down. Thankfully the Internet Archive captured the website and index. We are copying it here to ensure its preservation. These images are a temporary measure while we are prepare a searchable table of this data to be added to this website at a later time. We are indebted to Farshid Rad for preparing this index and to Majid Malek Mohammad for his continued work in preserving Zahiroddoleh Cemetery’s history.

There are 595 people buried in Zahiroddoleh Cemetery, 175 of which are women, and 420 of which are men (Iraniraniha). 110 of the graves have a symbol consisting of two cross axes over a scale with the year 1317 (نشان کشکول و تبر زین), which indicates membership in the Brotherhood and Dervish Association (انجمن اخوت و درویش) (Iraniraniha).
